"Due to work commitments I had got out of an exercise routine and had not attended any regular activities for a couple of years prior to joining Rob's bootcamp sessions. I started with just one session a week and have now built up to two a week - plus attending several half day boot camps.
The 45 minute sessions are very well paced and the exercises varied. Just about every exercise has at least two variations to it so you can start with the lower impact version but there is always a next level to aspire to. Rob provides active encouragement and really motivates you to try to reach the next level - but this is not delivered in an aggressive manner and you are certainly not made to feel inadequate if you do need to drop to the lower level of the exercise part way through.
The half day sessions are great fun and again well paced. You are not exercising continuously for the 4 hours and the breaks are well timed so that you are able to complete all the sections and at the end feel you have really achieved something.
I think it is quite an achievement that we all still really enjoyed the latest session despite the fact that we were doing exercises on our mats that had puddles of rain water on them and when lying on our backs we were getting a face full of rainwater!
I would certainly recommend Rob's sessions to people of all abilities as I believe he maintains the challenge for the fitter participants while still managing to make the less fit people feel that they are achieving a lot and show improvements. This is the key differentiator as previous types of bootcamps that I have tried have always tried to get everyone working at the pace of the fastest / fittest so if you are less fit you just end up demotivated and give up."
